IPL 2024: Full List Of Unavailable And Injured Players

Players- to- miss- out- IPL- 2024

In only one week, the 17th Indian Premier League (IPL 2024) will take place. In anticipation of the T20 World Cup in 2024, the best cricket players in the world will come together for various franchises in India. Some IPL clubs will be without the services of important players, even if IPL 2024 may be the ideal training ground for both Indian and international players. 

One of the few players who will not be available for this season of the lucrative tournament is Mohammed Shami, who lis the leading wicket keeper in the IPL 2023. Harry Brook, an aggressive middle order batsman for England, also chose not to participate in this edition of IPL.

List of Injured Players, Unavailable and their Replacement

Chennai Super Kings

Devon Conway: After having surgery on his thumb,the Kiwi opener for CSK has not been playing recently. It will take him eight weeks to return to action. 

No Replacement has been announced by CSK.

Delhi Capitals

Harry Brook: He is the third English player to decide against playing in the 2024 Indian Premier League. In the IPL 2024 auction, Brook was purchased by Delhi for Rs 4 crore. Brook played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the previous campaign.

Lungi Ngidi: He is not available due to injury

Rajasthan Royals

Prasidh Krishna: For the second consecutive season, the Karnataka pacer will not play in the Indian Premier League. He sustained a quadriceps injury during the Ranji Trophy 2023–24, which led to surgery in February. 

No Replacement has been announced by Rajasthan Royals.

Kolkata Knight Riders 

Jason Roy: He has taken his name back from this edition of IPL due to some personal reasons.

Phil Salt has been announced as a replacement by KKR. 

Gus Atkinson: This pacer has pulled his name from this edition due to workload management.

Dushmantha Chameera has been announced as a replacement by KKR.

Gujarat Giants

Mohammed Shami: The leading wicket taker of World Cup 2023 has been out of action due to his  ankle injury.

No replacement has been named by Gujarat Giants.

Mathew Wade: The Australian wicket-keeper batsman, who skipped Gujarat’s first two seasons without Hardik, is not eligible to play in the Giants’ opening two games on March 25 and 27. Wade made the decision to represent Tasmania in the Sheffield Shield final from March 21 to 25.

Lucknow Supergiants

Mark Wood: He also pulled his name back due to workload management.

Shamar Joseph, a West Indian pacer, has been selected as Wood’s substitute. With a fractured toe, Joseph guided his team to their first-ever Test victory in 41 matches on Australian soil.
