As they entered the latter stages of their illustrious international careers, Rohit and Kohli were crucial to their final dance in the T20 World Cup. In the ICC event’s summit match, captain Rohit rallied his team to secure a historic seven-run victory for the two-time winners, while Kohli returned to his best. The T20 World Cup, Rohit led India from the front, smashing three half-centuries.

Not over an hour had passed since India’s dramatic victory over South Africa, and batting great Virat Kohli had announced his retirement from the international shortest format. In the championship game, Rohit’s Team India defeated South Africa thanks to a game-winning innings of 76 from Kohli.
