MS Dhoni To Bowl in Do-or-Die Match Against RCB
2 min readMS Dhoni : This week will see the final battle of the Indian Premier League 2024 playoffs. The match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs. Chennai Super Kings is set to be an exciting knock-out. Sunrisers Hyderabad secured their place in the playoffs by securing a berth on Thursday.
Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and other Indian cricket legends are expected to attend the duel. The adrenaline level increases when both teams fight for the final playoff spot. CSK may have a special surprise for Royal Challengers. A video posted on the official CSK social media page has sparked a surge in excitement amongst their fans.
In the video, MS Dhoni is seen bowling the nets. Dhoni played all the matches for the team this season, despite a knee injury. Dhoni is rumored to be retiring from the IPL after this season. If so, his final match would be against RCB.

The Super Kings, despite being two points in front of RCB and fourth place overall, will still be wary of Faf du Plessis. Royal Challengers may have the advantage of playing at home, but their form has improved dramatically over the past few weeks. After a poor first half, in which they had lost six out of seven games, RCB has made a remarkable recovery. They are now on a winning streak of five matches.
CSK has a higher net run rate than RCB. This means that the latter must win by at least 18 runs, or 18.1 overs, assuming a 200-run first innings score in 20 overs. Rain is also a threat to this game. If it’s a washout then the Super Kings would go into the playoffs with only 15 points.
MS Dhoni – the last hurrah?
This week, the former CSK captain played in the final group match for the team. It was held in Chennai. The prospects of a return match to Chennai are still alive if CSK wins in Bengaluru. Both the second playoff game and final will be played at CSK’s stadium.
Dhoni’s batting cameos have been outstanding this season. They are usually towards the end of a team’s innings. In 13 matches, he has scored 136 run — 8 of which were not out — with a strike rate 226.67.
