Yashasvi Jaiswal equals Virat Kohli’s Record

Yashasvi Jaiswal, a young opener for Team India, has tied Virat Kohli’s record for the most runs scored by an Indian batsman in a Test series against England.

On Sunday, February 26, the southpaw accomplished the feat on Day 4 of the fourth Test match against England in Ranchi.

The 22-year-old, who had gone 16 without losing the previous night, scored 37 off 44 balls as he attempted to take Joe Root on but instead ended up slicing the delivery, and a diving James Anderson at backward point caught it.

India would have preferred Jaiswal to continue and take more balls, but throughout his innings, the young player did manage to tie a significant milestone.
