Asian Games 2023: India has been eliminated from EA Sports FC Online

Every four years, athletes from all the continents in the Asian region compete in the Asian Games, commonly known as Asiad. Esports have lately been acknowledged and added to the event’s list of sports, making it a multi-sport one. In Hangzhou, China, the Asian Games 2023 are now being held.

DOTA 2, EA Sports FC Online, Players Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile, Arena of Valor (Asian Games edition), League of Legends, Dream Three Kingdom 2, and Street Fighter V: Champion Edition are just a few of the games that will be featured in the esports section. League of Legends, EA Sports FC Online, Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, and DOTA 2 are the games in which India will compete.

A fifteen-person Indian team competed in the esports competition. India was represented in EA Sports FC Online, formerly FIFA Online 4, by Charanjot Singh and Karman Singh Tikka.

Charanjot Singh and Karman Singh Tikka are disqualified from the Asian Games 2023 EA Sports FC Online competition

Indian competitors Karman Tikka and Charanjot Singh withdrew from the Asian Games 2022 after their valiant efforts on the opening day were unsuccessful.

In his first match, Charanjot Singh lost against Liu Jiacheng of China 0:2, but he quickly recovered with three straight victories. In the Losers Bracket Rounds 1, 2, and 3, he defeated Aristorenas Jorrel of the Philippines 2:0, Alrowaihi RKM of Bahrain 2-1, and Yessentayev Olzhas of Kazakhstan 2-0. However, his season was over after suffering a further 0-2 loss to Chinese opponent Liu Jiacheng in Round 4 of the Losers Bracket. He managed to get in the top 16 in the competition.

Karman Singh, on the other hand, lost his opening-round match 1-2 to Bahrain’s Faqeehi Abdulaziz Abdullatif despite fighting hard. He produced a similar strong comeback as Charanjot, defeating Kiswani Abdelrahman of Palestine 2-1 in the Losers Bracket Round 1 before losing 1-2 against Aldhafiri Meshari of Kuwait in the Losers Bracket Round 2 to lose the match and withdraw from the competition.

One of the best EA Sports FC Online players in India is Charanjot Singh. In the Asian Games 2023 FIFA Online 4 seeding competition, he had defeated other South Asian athletes from Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka to earn the top seeding, while Karman Singh Tikka had placed fifth.
