BGIS 2023 Round 4 Day1: Everything you need to Know

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023’s Day 1 Round 4 featured some tough matches between seasoned and up-and-coming teams. Day 1 of the competition was won by Team Soul, Blind Esports, and Gladiator Esports, who demonstrated their experience with steady performances. 

On Day 1 of Round 4, Groups A and B participated. Both teams were a fair mix of established and up-and-coming squads, including Team Soul, Blind Esports, Velocity Gaming, and Gladiator Esports. 

Team Soul led Group A and kicked off the day with a fantastic 23 point chicken meal. The other two teams in Group A who put up consistent efforts across all three games were Nade Official and TWM Gaming. 

Group B’s first chicken supper was won by Blind Esports, who dominated the group. They were closely followed by AutoBotz Esports, who is ranked second overall. With 7 points, Team X Spark sits at the bottom of the standings after a terrible performance.

Match report for Round 4 Day 1 of BGIS 2023 

Erangel’s first game in Group A: The first chicken supper of the day was ordered by Team Soul. Both Sohail “Hector” Shaikh and Naman “Neyo” were lost early on in the process. However, Akshat “Akshat” Goel and Sahil “Omega” Jakhar’s team grabbed a 2v4 against Team Fly Esports in the final circle to seal the victory with 23 points. Nade Official, which finished in second position, earned 22 points, including 12 finish points. WSB Gaming and Team Fly Esports both managed to score 19 and 14 points.

Match 2 Miramar in Group A: TWM Gaming won the game with a balanced display of positioning and aggressive play, earning 15 finish points. Nade Official maintained its winning streak from the prior game and collected 26 points. In this game, Spy Esports made a comeback and earned 16 points for its collective work. Despite not receiving a single finish, Team Soul placed in the top 3 and received a total of 10 placement points.

With a total of 22 points in the third match in Sanhok (Group A), TWM secured back-to-back chicken feasts. Even though TWM Gaming won the game, Night Owls earned the most points with 26 overall points and an enormous 18 finish points. Night Owls’ Cleo was their standout performer, as he alone amassed 12 finishes. Additionally, WSB Gaming and MICI Esports scored 18 and 16, respectively. Team Soul maintained the zone’s center for a considerable amount of time but was eliminated after scoring only 5 points.

Match 4 Vikendi (Group B): Blind Esports won this group’s opening match with a score of 30 points, including 15 finish points. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) in this match was Manpreet “Rony” Singh of Blind Esports, who recorded 6 finishes. With 19 points, GlitchXReborn came in second. Gladiator Esports, who received 15 points for third place, displayed strong position-based gaming. Despite failing to earn a finish point, Velocity Gaming managed to earn 8 placement points. 

Match 5 Miramar (Group B): The second match for Group B was fascinating because there were 4 teams with 1 player still alive in the final circle. With a score of 21, Autobotz Esports won and took home the chicken meal. Teamwork and effective rotations allowed Team Psyche to collect 19 points. Road To Glory and BR Titans scored 15 and 13 points, respectively. After two terrible matches, Team X Spark was only able to earn 2 points in this one.

Match 6 Erangel (Group B): Gladiator Esports rallied to win the day’s final match with a final score of 22 points. Second-place finisher DWM Esports received 17 points. Trouble Makerz and Autobotz Esports earned 16 and 13 points, respectively. Team X Spark only received 2 points, failing to impress once more.

New teams like TWM Gaming and Night Owls have successfully adapted to the tactics of the more seasoned teams and won on Day 1. The top two teams in the table, Crosskill Esports and Team X Spark, who dominated Round 3, were only able to earn single digit points in three games.
