Free Fire will also participate in the Esports World Cup 2024, taking place in Riyadh, as a statement released by Garena says. The esteemed esports competition will include numerous PC and mobile games. From July 10 to 14, 18 teams from across the world will compete in the Free Fire World Cup. For this match, organizers have set aside a massive $1 million prize fund.

Garena states the competition will have two phases: the Group Stage, running for three days from July 10 to 12, and the Grand Finals, lasting two days from July 13 to 14. The winners of this competition will earn a direct spot in the November 2024 FFWS (World Series) Global Finals in Brazil.

Free Fire Esports World Cup 2024 : 18 Teams

18 teams from six regions will compete in the World Cup. The following is the event’s qualifying process :

  • FFWS SEA Spring – 8 teams
  • FFWS LATAM – 3 teams
  • FFWS Brazil – 3 teams
  • Snapdragon Pro Series- 2 teams
  • MEA Qualifier – 1 team
  • PK Qualifier – 1 team

The FFWS Spring SEA dates are March 22–May 26. There, eighteen teams from Southeast Asia will battle for a $300,000 grand prize. Regional qualifiers in Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand have already begun. The Esports World Cup 2024 Riyadh will welcome the top eight teams from this competition.

In the coming months, Brazil and Latin America will serve as hosts for the FFWS. Garena has yet to reveal all the details for each location. The World Cup will feature the top three teams from each area.

Brazil will host the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series on April 13 and 14. The SEA and LATAM regions are hosting the regional qualifiers. Twelve clubs will compete in this Pro Series for two World Cup spots and a $200,000 prize fund.

One team from each of the Pakistani and MEA qualifying teams will go to the World Cup. The planning for these events will start in the upcoming months.

This year, Garena will host two major Free Fire competitions: the FFWS Global Finals and the Esports World Cup. By performing well in their regionals, teams from all around the world have a fantastic chance to advance to these prestigious tournaments, which will offer substantial prize pools.
