PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024

The PUBG Mobile world cup (PMWC), which will be held in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, on July 2024. For the first edition, there will be a massive $3 million in prize money. In the worldwide tournament, 28 teams will be selected from around the globe. This tournament replaces the World Invitational (also known as PMWI), which took place in Riyadh for two seasons in 2022-2023.
The PMWC will be a part of the huge Esports World Cup in 2024, which includes a lot of games. Level Infinite, a subsidiary of Tencent Games, has signed a 3-year agreement with the Saudi Arabia Esports World Cup Foundation. PUBG mobile has also revealed the 39 partnered teams in Southeast Asia, EMEA and Americas.

The eight-day PMWC will consist of three stages: the Main Stage (Main Stage), Survival Stage and group stage. The format is described in detail below :

Stage of Groups

This World Cup’s preliminary round will feature 24 teams. Based on their overall point table, the top 12 teams advance directly to the main stage. However, the 12 worst teams advance to next round.

Stage of Survival

In this second round, 16 teams compete for the four Main Stage spots. The Survival Stage will feature one team each from the PMSL Americas (SEA), EMEA (Eastern Mediterranean), and CSA. These four teams will be facing the 12 worst teams in Group Stage.

When this stage ends, the top four in the standings overall will move on to the main stage. The bottom 12 will be banned from competing in PMWC.

Main Stage

The top four fighters of the Survival Stage, and the top twelve from the Group Stage will face off in this final and third phase. PMWC will award the PMWC to the club that has the most impressive performance.

Slots for the PUBG Mobile World Cup are distributed

The PMWC is a competition that includes 28 teams from around the world. In the above article, you will see that the Publisher has revealed the qualifying methods for the PMWC participants. Here is the slot distribution by region.

  • Southeast Asia – 6 teams
  • Central and South Asia – 5 teams
  • EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) – 5 teams
  • Americas – 4 teams
  • South Korea – 1 teamJapan – 1 team
  • China – 2 teams
  • PMRC South Korea and Japan event – 1 team
  • PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO)’s champion region – 1 team
  • Special Invite – 2 teams

As of this date, the identities and locations of the two teams invited have yet to be made public. The business will also be holding the PMGO in Brazil, which is its first event abroad in 2024. This will take place in early March or in the middle of April. This year, three PUBG mobile international events will take place: the PMGO, PMWC and PMGC.
