Skyesports Announces India Gaming Show 2024
3 min readIndia’s gaming industry is expanding at an unprecedented pace, to the point that it is now being used to commemorate the nation’s diplomatic connections with other countries. Recently, India and Indonesia celebrated 75 years of diplomatic connections. To mark this historic milestone, Skyesports and the Indonesian Embassy in New Delhi are organising an esports tournament between the two countries.
This is scheduled to happen during the 6th India Gaming Show 2024 in Pune, India, from March 14 to March 16. The Confederation of Indian Industry will feature infotainment, gaming, and animation at this event. Both will square off in an esports match at the Skyesports Grand Slam. It will be an incredible showcase battle between the best Counter Strike 2 teams in both countries.

In addition to the two nations’ exhibition match at the Skyesports Grand Slam, additional countries will compete in this tournament. These teams include two from Europe, one from Australia, and one from India. There are over 180 million gamers in Indonesia and over 421 million in India, according to a Niko Partners analysis on the Asia Games Market. All of these players are between the ages of 16 and 64. With any luck, this occasion will introduce video games and esports to even more people in both countries.
