West Indies Players In IPL 2025

West Indies players such as Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, and Shamar Joseph are playing in IPL 2025.

But Rutherford, Shepherd, and Shamar Joseph were selected for the West Indies ODI squads. The 3 ODIs were scheduled on May 21, 23, and 25 against Ireland, and another 3 ODIs were scheduled on May 29, June 1, and 3 against England. But as the CWI permitted the players to complete the IPL and then to join the international squad.

John Campbell and Jediah Blades were named as replacement players for the West Indies International Tour.

Then, from June 6, the West Indies will have 3 T20Is against England, where all their players will be available because the IPL 2025 will be completed on June 3.

Relief for Franchises

Gujarat Titans (GT) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) had doubts regarding the return of their major players, Sherfane Rutherford (GT) and Romario Shepherd (RCB), for their remaining matches in the IPL 2025. But the Cricket West Indies (CWI) has allowed its players to stay in India and complete the remaining IPL matches despite overlapping international fixtures.

Both GT and RCB are strong contenders for the playoffs and need their full-strength squads. Players such as Russell, Narine, Powell, and Pooran are not selected for the current West Indies ODI tours and will complete the IPL season. So the other franchise will not be affected by these West Indies players.
