The 59th match of the TATA IPL 2025 was held at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday. Punjab Kings (PBKS) won the game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 10 runs.
At the start of the game, PBKS won the toss and decided to bat first. In the first innings, PBKS top-order batsmen struggled to score runs, and later, the middle-order batsmen recovered. Nehal Wadhera played an impressive knock and scored 70 runs from 37 balls, and Shashank Singh scored an unbeaten 59 runs from 30 balls. In the RR bowling unit,
Tushar Deshpande bowled an economical spell and also got two important wickets.
Meanwhile, in the second innings, PBKS bowlers kept the RR batsmen under pressure by taking the wickets at crucial moments and slowed down the flow of runs. An impressive knock came from Dhruv Jurel, who scored 53 runs off 31 balls. In the PBKS bowling unit, Harpreet Brar took 3 wickets with an economical spell.
Therefore, with this victory, PBKS is qualified for the playoff race in the IPL 2025 season.
