MPL Philippines Season 15 Breaks Viewership Records
The 15th season of MPL Philippines, the premier Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) league in the country, has made history with record-breaking viewership.
At the grand finals between Team Liquid PH and ONIC Philippines, which was streamed live, it got a peak viewership of 1.8 million live viewers.
It surpassed the previous record of 1.62 million viewers last season. This milestone reflects the growing popularity of esports in the region and solidifies MPL Philippines as one of the most engaging MLBB tournaments globally.
Record-Breaking Finals
The Grand Final series between Team Liquid PH and ONIC.PH broke all previous viewership records. Team Liquid won the grand final with an exhilarating 4-3 in the seven-game match. Peak viewership from this match alone surpassed 1 million viewers. The playoff showdown between ONIC.PH and Aurora Gaming had the second-highest viewership.
Throughout the season, MPL PH has had over 162 hours of content and maintained an average of more than 192k viewers. This shows the viewers’ passion for the sport in that region.
Meanwhile, YouTube was the major platform where it got peak viewership of 956k viewers, followed by TikTok with over 636k. ONIC.PH’s consistent participation in the most pivotal matches drove sustained interest, as they are in four of the top five most-watched series.

Global Significance and New Challenges
Despite setting a national record, viewership of MPL Philippines is lower than that of MPL Indonesia. It has an even higher viewership during its regular season.
Therefore, Liquid PH and ONIC.PH gets to showcase thier skills on the global stage as they attend the MSC 2025. MSC will be held during the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, with a prize pool of 3 million dollars.
MPL PH title winners Team Liquid earned prize money of $46,560 from the $150,000 total prize pool. Their growing fanbase, along with the team’s marked control in the region, means that MPL Philippines will be greatly self-sustained.
