Kl Rahul Ruled Out And Jasprit Bumrah Rested For 4th Test
2 min readFor the fourth Test match between India and England, which gets off at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi on Thursday, February 23, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been cut from the Indian team.
The Indian cricket board made their judgment with Bumrah’s workload in elite cricket in mind. When the Indian squad arrived in Ranchi on Tuesday, Bumrah was one of the players who was noticeably missing.
“Jasprit Bumrah has been left off the team to play England in the 4th IDFC First Bank Test in Ranchi. The BCCI stated in a statement that “the decision was made with consideration for the length of the series and the amount of cricket he has played recently.”
With 17 wickets in the 5-match series, Bumrah is presently the leading wicket-taker. He was recently ranked as the top Test bowler following his exploits in the Vizag Test.
Meanwhile, after experiencing soreness in his right quadriceps during the first Test at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, KL Rahul was unable to recuperate in time.
After participating in Bengal’s Ranji Trophy match against Bihar at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens, Mukesh Kumar has joined the team.
Who will Replace Jasprit Bumrah
If India choose to go with a fast bowler in Bumrah’s place, they have two options. They may either award Akash Deep his first international cap or reinstate Mukesh in the starting lineup.
Mukesh was left out of the third Test in Rajkot after missing the Hyderabad Test and failing to impress in Visakhapatnam.

However, Mukesh appeared dangerous in the match against Bihar, taking six wickets in the second innings out of a total of ten wickets. Bengal defeated their opponents by an innings and 204 runs following his stint.
In their Test series against England, India will be hoping to grab a 3-1 lead and end it there in Ranchi.
How India Crashed Stoke’s Party

In the second innings, the Mumbai batsman and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal combined to assist Team India score 430-4 in 98 overs. India set an unlikely goal of 557 for England thanks to Jaiswal’s magnificent double century.
