In a few days, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) will square off again in the reverse fixture of the 2024 IPL, this time at home, and they’ll be hoping for a victory. Even though they seem fantastic while they’re singing, CSK has surprisingly been hot and cold this season. Although they haven’t had a particularly successful run away from home, the Men in Yellow have won their first three games there. As the first of three games at Chepauk begins on Tuesday, CSK will be looking for a huge comeback.

With the exception of the final three overs at the end, the Lucknow SuperGiants may have played their best tactical game. Up until that point, the bowling strategies were excellent, and the batsmen, headed by captain KL Rahul, completed the job to maintain their team in the fight for the fourth and fifth spots. Tuesday’s match against CSK will be crucial for the Super Giants’ push into the latter stages of the competition as well as from a standings standpoint, since both clubs are vying for the fourth slot. LSG may bring in an additional spinner because the weather in Chennai is expected to be significantly dryer.
