In a letter, Jay Shah stated, “As part of our domestic cricket programme, we are introducing prize money for the Player of the Match and Player of the Tournament in all women’s and junior cricket events. Furthermore, there will be cash prizes for the Player of the Match in the Senior Men’s Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali competitions

September marks the beginning of India’s domestic schedule with the Duleep Trophy. In October, there will be the Irani Cup. On October 11, India’s premier first-class competition, the Ranji Trophy, will commence. Starting on November 23, the Syed Mushtaq Ali will be followed by the Vijay Hazare Trophy starting on December 21.
