3 min read
On Saturday, the 52nd match of the TATA IPL 2025 was held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the game by 2 Runs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
In the beginning, CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first. In the first innings, RCB openers Jacob Bethell and Virat Kohli contributed 55 and 62 runs respectively, strengthening the innings. However, the middle-order batsmen failed to score significantly. In the death overs, Romario Shepherd played an explosive knock, scoring an unbeaten 53 off just 14 balls, helping RCB post a total of 213 on the scoreboard. CSK bowler Matheesha Pathirana delivered an outstanding spell and took 3 wickets.
Meanwhile, in the second innings, many believed it would be an easy win for RCB, considering CSK’s previous performances. But the CSK batsmen proved them wrong; CSK took the match to the very end, resulting in a nail-biting finish. CSK’s impressive batting came from Ayush Mhatre, who scored 94 off 48 balls, and Ravindra Jadeja, who remained unbeaten with 77 off 45. The game was alive until the final over, where Yash Dayal bowled a magical spell and clinched victory for RCB.
