Ishan Kishan will face BCCI action

BCCI will take action against Ishan Kishan.

In an unexpected move, the BCCI ordered that its players represent their respective state teams in the next phase of the Ranji Trophy matches. Players like Ishan Kishan, who has missed Ranji Trophy matches to prepare for the Indian Premier League, are impacted by the decision. Players cannot put the IPL or international cricket first, according to the BCCI.

Some players unwillingness to compete in the Ranji Trophy has angered the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). On the one hand, athletes like Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara are putting in a lot of effort to rejoin the Indian squad.

Even if many are making hundreds of runs in domestic cricket, some young players are not participating in first-class cricket matches even though they are not on the squad. It seems that BCCI is not pleased with the players who avoid the Ranji Trophy and is getting ready to take action against them.

In case the players are healthy, BCCI wants them to represent their state teams in the Ranji Trophy, according to a story published by our affiliate Times of India.

Rehab treatment for unfit players should be provided by the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Per a TOI source who asked to remain anonymous, “The board is not very happy with some of the players who have already been in IPL mode since January.”

All of the players will get notifications to represent their state in the Ranji Trophy during the following several days. Players who are on national service, deemed unfit, or receiving rehabilitation at NCA will be the only ones excluded.

After missing out on competing in the Ranji Trophy, wicketkeeper batsman Ishan Kishan was recently seen in Baroda rehearsing with his IPL skipper, Hardik Pandya. Ishaan was left out of the Indian squad for the visit to South Africa.

Subsequently, it was reported that he had requested a sabbatical because of mental exhaustion and had not joined the national team since.

It has now come to light that Ishan Kishan was unhappy with the prejudice he was subjected to while playing for the team and had offended head coach Rahul Dravid.

As a result, it seems that he will have difficulty rejoining the national squad. Following many days of absence, he was seen working out with Hardik Pandya.

Rahul Dravid, the head coach, insisted that he “play some cricket,” but he did not participate in the Ranji Trophy.
