NZ vs PAK, 3rd T20 : At the University Oval in Dunedin on Wednesday, opener Finn Allen struck a record-breaking 137 off 62 balls, leading New Zealand to a decisive T20 series victory against Pakistan with two games remaining.
After holding Pakistan to 179 for seven in the third game of the five-game series, the Black Caps, put in to bat, produced an incredible 224 for seven, winning by 45 runs.

After making an incredible 74 off 21 balls in the previous game, Allen’s daring effort laid the groundwork for New Zealand’s supremacy. In his explosive innings, Allen hit 16 sixes and five fours, breaking the record held by Brendon McCullum and becoming the highest scoring New Zealand player in a Twenty20 international. Additionally, his innings tied the world record of 16 sixes in an innings held by Hazratullah Zazai of Afghanistan.

Amidst the opener’s assa ult, he produced a spectacular over with three sixes, two fours, and a single against Haris Rauf. Mohammad Nawaz and Shaheen Afridi also had trouble, giving up 44 and 43 runs in their four overs, respectively, while Rauf gave up 60 runs in his four overs.

Following Devon Conway’s early seven-wicket dismissal, Tim Seifert and Allen combined for a strong partnership of 125 runs for the second wicket, with Seifert providing cover to keep Allen’s hard-hitting strokes going. Throughout his inning, Allen’s power hits were so strong that the umpires had to change the ball three times. After eventually getting rid of the unyielding Allen in the eighteenth over with an off-cutter, Zaman Khan was greeted with acclaim by the bowler as he departed the pitch.

NZ vs PAK, 3rd T20 : New Zealand won the series 3-0

With the series already decided, both sides will have the chance to hone their tactics and display their T20 skill in the next two games, which are scheduled for Friday and Sunday in Christchurch.
In the last games, Pakistan will look to preserve pride by mounting a comeback, while New Zealand will try to maintain their winning streak.
