Pakistan declared Their Squad Against Bangladesh

2 min read

Pakistan has announced their starting XI for the first Test match against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi, and they want to attack with a lot of pace. Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam were left out of the Pakistan Shaheens roster earlier in the day for their second four-day match against Bangladesh A. Aamer Jamal, an all-rounder, was also cut from the team.

The four true speedsters on the home team’s roster are Mohammad Ali, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad, and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Saim Ayub and Babar Azam are two other players who may roll over, although Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Agha seem to be the preferred spin bowlers.

Playing against the Tigers in Rawalpindi was a memorable experience for Naseem. He was 16 when, in 2020, he became the youngest player to complete a Test hat-trick. He got rid of Taijul Islam, Mahmudullah Riyad, and Najmul Hossain Shanto, leading Pakistan to victory by an innings and forty-four runs.

When Shan Masood succeeded Babar Azam as the Test team’s captain, he had difficulties during the Australian tour. In Test cricket, Babar hasn’t been among the runs, therefore he would like to get back to his best.

On Wednesday, August 21, Pakistan’s first Test matchup against Shanto’s Bangladesh takes place at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Due to ongoing construction at the National Stadium, the match was moved from Karachi to Rawalpindi, where the hosts would also be for the second Test.

In their 13 Test matches versus Bangladesh, Pakistan has won 12 of them. The Khulna Test resulted in a tie in 2015, which was the first occasion Pakistan could not win.
