Pakistan Recall Abrar Ahmed and Aamir Jamal for 2nd Test Against Bangladesh
2 min readOn Wednesday, August 28, Pakistan revealed their team for the second Test match against Bangladesh. The most significant absence from the first Test match, which Pakistan lost by 10 wickets at Rawalpindi, was the return of spinner Abrar Ahmed to the team. For the second Test match, Pakistan added fast bowler Aamir Jamal and batsman Kamran Ghulam to their lineup in addition to Abrar.
Pakistan affirmed in a press statement that Jamal’s availability for the series’ second and final Test match will depend on his level of fitness. The action was taken in response to Pakistan’s humiliating defeat in the last Test match against Najmul Shanto’s team. Pakistan was defeated in their very first Test match against Bangladesh, even though they had declared in the opening innings.

Before the first Test match began, Abrar Ahmed and Kamran Ghulam were cut from the Test team. They then played for Pakistan Shaheens in a four-day match against Bangladesh ‘A’ at the Islamabad Club on August 20–23. In addition, Tuesday night saw Shaheen Shah Afridi, who was cut from the team after the first Test, return to it, the PCB announced in a statement.
