CSK vs RCB Tickets: Everything You Need to Know About the IPL 2025 Showdown Between Dhoni and Kohli

CSK vs RCB

The highly anticipated clash between two of the most popular teams in the league—Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) is scheduled on Friday, 28th March 2025. This royal battle will take place on Chennai’s home ground at the iconic M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. The legends of the Indian Cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli will once again be seen for this thrilling encounter.

A Rivalry Like No Other

Since the first season of IPL in 2008, CSK and RCB have faced each other 33 times. Most of these encounters have been nail-biting for the fans of both teams. Although CSK has dominated this rivalry with 21 wins over RCB in 33 matches, RCB in recent years has bashed the Kings on multiple occasions.

The last time these two teams met was in IPL 2024 where RCB secured a crucial playoff victory and knocked CSK out of the tournament. In this decider match, Bengaluru set a large total of 218 runs for CSK due to an aggressive 47 runs in 29 balls by Virat Kohli. In the chase, Dhoni made a valiant effort by scoring 25 runs in just 13 balls but even then CSK fell short by 27 runs. CSK will be ready to seek redemption for their last disappointing loss against RCB on their home ground.

RCB vs CSK in IPL 2025

RCB has made a major change this season by appointing Rajat Patidar as the captain for this season. The franchise made a risky decision to leave Faf du Plessis, their former captain in the IPL mega auction. For both teams, this will be the second game of the season. Both will be eager to put a strong performance in front of their passionate supporters at Chepauk.
