Krafton Dis qualified 13 Teams from BGIS 2024

The 2024 Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) Round 1 qualifiers are now over, as both experienced and underdog teams dominated the competition. 1024 teams competed in the first round, and Krafton announced a list of the teams that were eliminated from the competition prior to the start of the second round.

According to Krafton, the teams were disqualified for engaging in ringing and cheating.

Thirteen more teams are disqualified by Krafton for ringing and cheating.

480 of the 1024 teams who took part in the Round 1 online preliminaries go on to play in BGIS 2024’s Round 2. Due to hackers and other cheaters in their qualification matches, many teams had to be eliminated from the competition.

Ahead of Round 2, Krafton India Esports took severe measures against some teams taking part in BGIS 2024 in response to multiple community concerns. Ahead of Round 2, Krafton has now again published a list of the teams that were eliminated from BGIS 2024 Round 1.

Reason of Disqualification

“We regret to inform you that certain teams have been disqualified from Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024 due to violations of our competition rules,” Krafton stated in a statement posted to its Instagram profile. Using unapproved gadgets and ringing others are examples of these infractions. Honesty and justice are the cornerstones of everything we do at BGIS. Our commitment is to uphold an equitable and competitive atmosphere for all individuals involved. We appreciate your patience and help as we keep upholding the greatest standards in our contests.

“Playing under another player’s account or GamerTag, or soliciting or inducing someone else to play under another player’s account or GamerTag, is prohibited,” states the BGIS 2024 Rulebook’s 6.2.4 rule.

For the time being, Krafton has only disqualified the aforementioned teams; it is unclear if any other action will be taken.
