Skyesports Announces 2025 CS2 Esports Tournament with ₹14.68 Crore Prize Pool
2 min readA leading worldwide IP developer for video games and esports, Skyesports, has revealed its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) esports plan for 2025. The Chennai-based esports organization has announced four international CS2 tournaments as part of this. That features teams from all over the world and a total prize pool of Rs 14.68 Crore ($1.75 million). All of these events are scheduled to take place in India. This prize fund and roadmap represent one of Skyesports’ largest expenditures to date and are in line. The company’s goal of developing Indian esports intellectual property that is recognized around the world.
“Our vision since inception in 2018 was to create indigenous IPs and bring international players and teams to India,” stated Shiva Nandy, founder and CEO of Skyesports, in response to the announcement. The fact that all four tournaments will be held in India and feature participation from international teams is evidenced by the 2025 CS2 esports plan. These competitions will demonstrate India’s importance as a market for top-tier international esports events in addition to solidifying it’s standing as a worldwide esports brand.

Schedule for Skyesports esports Tournament
- Skyesports Souvenir 2025: Feb. 17 to 23, 2025 ($250,000 – Rs 2.09 Crore)
- Skyesports Masters 2025: May 26 to June 1, 2025 ($500,000 – Rs 4.12 Crore)
- Skyesports Championship 2025: Sept. 15 to 21, 2025 ($500,000 – Rs 4.12 Crore)
- Skyesports World Tour 2025: Nov. 10 to 16, 2025 ($500,000 – Rs 4.12 Crore)
Furthermore, in accordance with the tournament standards provided by CS2 creator Valve, the Skyesports Masters 2025, Skyesports Championship 2025, and Skyesports World Tour 2025 qualify as Tier 1 events due to their huge prize pools and caliber of competing teams. These events will be the first time that Tier 1 tournaments for the game. That featuring participation from top-tier international esports organizations that will be held in India. Eight teams will go to India for each tournament in an attempt to win the championship .
Open Qualifiers will be held in conjunction with the three Tier 1 tournaments to reach amateur esports players in Europe, North and South America, Asia, and India. India will have its own Open Qualifier. Which will allow Skyesports to guarantee Indian participation in major competitions. And it provides a platform for the nation’s up-and-coming esports athletes to fight against the world’s finest.
