Team NKT Qualifies for CS:GO LAN Finals of Skye sports Championship 4.0
2 min readTeam NKT from Thailand has become the first team to qualify for the grand final of the Skye sports Championship 4.0 CS:GO tournament. This grand final is scheduled to take place in Mumbai later this month.
Making its way through the first stage of the SEA (South East Asia) qualifier, Team NKT topped its group by defeating both Kintsugi and Renewal and then followed it up by winning an enduring grand final against Aravt from Mongolia. Aravt was undefeated and at the top of the table of the other group.
The winner of the India qualifiers will be joining NKT in Mumbai, going against the team in front of a live audience, alongside the finals of other titles like Dota 2 and Pokemon UNITE.

Late last month, Skyesports had surprised the entire Indian esports industry by introducing CS:GO and Dota 2 as part of the Skyesports Championship 4.0, announcing the two titles despite them not being too popular in the country.
Additionally, Shiva “Marvel” Nandy – CEO and Founder of Skyesports even went ahead to publicly share that the company will further invest a minimum of $500,000 USD (INR 4,08,57,750) in 2023 towards the upliftment of both these titles within India.
Keeping up with this promise, Skyesports kicked off the CS:GO qualifier and which has already obtained the SEA representative for the grand final scheduled to take place offline in front of a live audience.
NKT went neck-to-neck against Aravt in the final, the two teams exchanged maps and went all the way down to a decider in a marathon of a best-of-five series.

In the end, experience played a slight upper hand which resulted in the talented Mongolian side of Aravt getting knocked out of the qualifiers.

The India qualifiers are still underway with its second phase scheduled to kick start from 9th December onwards. The top four teams will clash against each other in a round robin format, with the winner walking straight ahead into the LAN final.
