Ancelotti Confident Mbappe Will Shine at Real Madrid Despite Challenges
2 min readCoach Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid is optimistic that Kylian Mbappe, the team’s recent acquisition, can soon end his goal drought and score goals on a regular basis. Even if the French forward has not scored in his first two La Liga games, Ancelotti is still optimistic that he can find his scoring touch and have a successful Real Madrid career.
Mbappe, who signed a five-year deal with Real Madrid this summer, had earlier opened his account against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup. The star striker has, however, mostly missed his shooting boots in his subsequent games, which has already sparked a barrage of criticism on social media. Mbappe was replaced in the 86th minute of their most recent 3-0 victory over Real Valladolid, his second consecutive league game without a goal.

The 2018 World Cup winner’s role as a center striker, according to Ancelotti, does not, in fact, limit his potential to benefit the squad. Ancelotti emphasized that Mbappe’s quickness, deftness off the ball, and attacking instincts are important qualities that will eventually result in goals while wearing the Los Angeles Blacos uniform.

“Mbappe is a spectacular striker, very quick, he moves very well without the ball, he attacks the back, he has had three or four chances today,” Ancelotti stated at the news conference following the game.

He will score in this position, just as he always has. He may play in the center or on the left; ultimately, goals will be scored by him; just wait and see.”
Additionally, Ancelotti emphasized that Mbappe’s ability to score goals is independent of his location on the field and that he had enough opportunities to do so against Valladolid. The coach promised supporters that Mbappe will soon return to his typical goal-scoring form, demonstrating his unwavering faith in the forward’s ability and potential.
After a protracted transfer controversy came to an end with his move to Real Madrid, Mbappe is under a lot of pressure to perform. Real Madrid’s next La Liga game is scheduled for August 30 against Las Palmas. Real Madrid is presently attempting to defend their La Liga championship. With important players like Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga sidelined by injuries as the squad navigates the early parts of the season, Ancelotti is hopeful that Mbappe can swiftly adjust to his new role and begin scoring goals.
