Mount suffered an injury after starting the first two league games for United this year. For £55 million, the 25-year-old left Chelsea to join Manchester United in July 2023, but injuries have made it difficult for him to be consistent. Mount played in just 20 games the previous season, missing a large chunk of action because of different health concerns.

Frustrated with Injuries

Mount’s absence increases the number of injuries that United’s team is dealing with. Defenders Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, and Victor Lindel´f, as well as forward Rasmus H¸jlund, are also out with injuries at the moment. While Shaw and Lindelf are dealing with their own injuries, Malacia has been out for almost a year due to a catastrophic knee ailment. Among the difficult games on United’s schedule is a pivotal league encounter at Old Trafford on Sunday against Liverpool.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is striving to bolster his team before to the transfer window closing despite the failures. According to reports, the midfielder Manuel Ugarte deal from Paris Saint-Germain, for €50 million (£42 million) plus an additional €10 million, is almost finalized.
