T20 format cricket is the shortest and most explosive format of the game.T20 matches are 20-over games that demand aggressive batting, innovative bowling, and quick decision-making. One of the thrilling achievements in this format is scoring the fastest century in the shortest time possible.
Over the years, several players have achieved the milestone by hitting centuries, but only a few are at the top of the record books, scoring a century with their dominant gameplay with fewer balls.
In that list, Estonia batter Sahil Chauhan holds the top position by scoring the fastest century in just 27 balls against Cyprus in the bilateral series match in June 2024. This knock has surpassed all the other records, and Sahil jumped to the top of the Records list.
In the Second position, two Indian cricketers are sharing the spot, Urvil Patel and Abhishek Sharma both of them are holding the spot by scoring a century in just 28 balls. Urvil Patel scored a century against Tripura in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024, and Abhishek Sharma also scored a century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024 against Team Meghalaya.
Next, the greatest T20 batsman, popularly known as the “Universal Boss” Chris Gayle, holds his record by scoring a century in just 30 balls in the IPL against Pune Warriors in 2013 at the Bangalore Chinnaswamy Stadium.
