This time, a total of 10 teams are battling out for the IPL trophy across 13 iconic venues in India. Throughout the tournament, a total of 74 matches will take place between the teams in a span of two months, from March 22 to May 25. This year, the TATA IPL mega-auction took place in Jeddah, where the team franchisees made investments for 182 players, of which 62 were overseas players.
IPL has always been regarded as the biggest T20 league all around the world, and therefore, it continuously attracts the world’s best talent each year. This year, something similar has happened where several international sensations have come up to make their debut in the world’s most-watched T20 league.
Some of the most interesting names that are making headlines are:
1. Josh Inglis (Australia)
Josh Inglish, the talented Australian wicketkeeper-batter, has been acquired by Punjab Kings for a hopping amount of 2.60 crore. He is very well known in the cricketing world for his aggressive stroke play. He is among the few Australian players to score a century in all three formats of cricket.
