Riot Games and The Esports Club have announced plans to hold Convergence, the first international VALORANT esports competition in India. The event is set to take place at the Manpho Convention Centre in Bangalore from the 14th to the 17th of December 2023.
Valorant Convergence Tournament
Riot’s first international VALORANT esports tournament in India is Convergence. It demonstrates devotion to the country’s expanding gaming culture. The event will bring together some of the world’s best VALORANT teams. Global Esports, FUT, Furia, Vitality, and GenG all compete on the same stage in India. Riot’s VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) features teams from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. They will compete against each other in the main event, which begins on December 14.
Riot Games has been working hard for a long time to make Valorant a significant esports title in India. They have had their first Indian agent, Harbour, launched last year. They held a beach clean-up event to commemorate this character’s one-year anniversary in the country. They also commemorated the game’s third anniversary in the nation with the Bharat Valorant Celebrations.
Sukamal Pegu, Esports Lead, India & South Asia, Riot Games said, “Convergence is us at Riot saying thanks to our amazing fans in India. They have supported us since the launch of VALORANT in 2020. We have also since grown the India team to deliver such hyperlocal experiences to our players here. With Convergence, Indian fans will finally get to see some of their favorite VALORANT athletes perform in person and interact. It will be a perfect ending to the 2023 VCT season and we are just getting started here in India for such international events“
Riot Games’ VALORANT is a competitive 5v5 character-based tactical shooter for the PC. Riot Games has been actively involved in developing community interaction and improving user experience through a variety of projects. Riot Games recently honoured the one-year anniversary of VALORANT’s first-ever Indian agent Harbour. Riot also collaborated with the Indian gaming community to clean up the beach. BHARAT VALORANT festivities also marked the third anniversary of VALORANT in India.
