GT vs MI IPL 2025 Eliminator – Result, Scorecard: MI qualified for Qualifier 2

The Eliminator match of the TATA IPL 2025 was held at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur on Friday. Mumbai Indians (MI) won the game against Gujarat Titans (GT) by 20 runs.

At the start of the game, MI won the toss and chose to bat first. In the first innings, MI opener batsmens laid a strong foundation to the innings by scoring good runs. Opener Rohith Sharma contributed 81 runs off 50 balls, and the new temporary replacement player Jonny Bairstow scored 47 off 22 balls, strengthening the innings. Later, the same momentum was carried by other players, and in the end, MI scored a big total of 228/5.

In the second innings, GT also gave its best effort to chase the total, and they were close to securing victory. But the fall of wickets in the crucial moment led to the loss. The young opener Sai Sudharsan impressed with his outstanding performance, scoring 80 off 49 balls.

Ultimately, MI won the game by 20 runs; with this victory, MI has qualified to play Qualifier 2 against PBKS. Meanwhile, GT is out of the playoff race with this loss.
