LCK Road to MSI 2025 Sets New Viewership Record for League of Legends

The 2025 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) once again tops the worldwide esports scene, breaking its previous viewership records. The league’s Road to MSI playoff bracket now stands as the year’s most-watched League of Legends event.
The event was packed with nail-biting tension and fan-favorite matchups, reaching the peak viewership during the clash between T1 and Hanwha Life Esports (HLE). It was also superstar personalities and a loyal worldwide fanbase that helped once again to strengthen its place as the driving force in the pro League of Legends.
T1’s Performance Fuels Record-Breaking Audience
The crowning moment of the Road to MSI was the playoff clash between T1 and HLE. It reached 1,965,776 viewers at its peak. This surpassed the LCK Cup’s earlier record of 1.9 million viewers, even though both events featured the same star squads. Although T1 swept the series 3-0, spectators remained captivated as Faker and his team showcased their trademark skill. The victory also booked T1 a spot at the Mid-Season Invitational for the fourth year in a row, and their global fanbase remains as strong as ever.
Esports Charts confirms that matches involving T1 regularly top all viewership records. The squad’s name appears in each of the five most-watched LCK 2025 series so far. Numbers climbed even higher thanks to co-streams from influencers like Caedrel and IWillDominate, proving that T1’s brand remains a vital engine for the league’s worldwide growth.

LCK Rules the Scene Before MSI 2025
Beyond head-to-head battles, the whole LCK brand keeps proving it travels well. So far in 2025, the league has averaged roughly 337,000 viewers per match, and that number excludes China. During the MSI playoffs, the league soared again, averaging 752,208 concurrent viewers. The majority of viewership was from YouTube, where it had over 500,000 viewers simultaneously.
Now everyone looks to June 27, when MSI 2025 opens in Vancouver and the spotlight fixes on T1. Following their 2024 Worlds championship and sustained global fanbase, any match featuring the team is expected to draw peak viewership. Given that momentum, the LCK’s record-breaking journey appears far from over, and T1’s presence suggests record numbers are just around the corner.
