LSG vs RCB Postmatch

The 70th match of the TATA IPL 2025 was held at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 6 wickets with 8 balls to spare.

Initially, the RCB won the toss and elected to bowl first. In the first Innings, LSG batsmen dominated the RCB bowlers with their explosive batting. Captain Rishab Panth led the LSG team from the start to the end with his outstanding performance. Rishab Panth scored an unbeaten century in this match, where he scored an unbeaten 118 runs from 61 balls. Mitchell Marsh also contributed to the innings with his half-century, where he scored 67 off 37 balls. RCB bowlers struggled to control the flow of runs, and they failed to do it. At the end of the first Innings, LSG scored a huge 227 runs for RCB to chase in the second Innings.

In the Second Innings, RCB openers build a solid foundation for the Innings with a brilliant knock. Opener Virat Kohli contributed 54 runs in 30 balls. Later, Captain Jitesh Sharma led the innings with his outstanding batting performance, where he scored an unbeaten 85 runs off 33 balls. RCB finished the match within the completion of 19 overs and secured on victory by 6 wickets with 8 balls to spare.

With this Victory, RCB is qualified to play the Qualifier 1 match against the Punjab Kings in the TATA IPL 2025 Playoffs.
