The 31st match of the TATA IPL 2025 was held at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on Thursday, where Mumbai Indians (MI) successfully beat the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 4 wickets.
At the start of the game, MI won the toss and chose to bowl first. SRH batters made a total of 162 runs, with an impressive performance by Abhishek Sharma, who scored 40 runs, and Heinrich Klaasen, who contributed 37 runs. The MI bowling unit also performed well to restrict SRH to 162 runs, with Will Jacks taking two crucial wickets, and Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya picking up one wicket each.
In the second innings, MI’s batters performed well. Opener Rohit Sharma gave a good start to the team but was dismissed for 26 runs. Later, Ryan Rickelton and Will Jacks contributed 31 and 36 runs, respectively. Hardik Pandya smashed a quickfire 21 runs off 9 balls, and Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 21 runs. SRH bowlers also did well, with captain Pat Cummins taking two wickets and Eshan Malinga picking up two wickets.
Tilak Varma ended the match by hitting a boundary, and MI won the match by 4 wickets, moving up to seventh place in the points table.
