This TATA IPL 2025 mega auction created a record milestone with the most expensive players ever sold in the auction. Every team had a sum of Rs 120 crore in their purse, and teams have retained some of their previous season players within it, and the remaining money was used for the Mega auction. The auction was held for two days, totally 577 players were listed for the Mega auction, and Franchises engaged in competition to acquire star players, resulting in bidding for the record-breaking prices.

Shreyas Iyer is an Indian Right-handed batsman, a perfect middle-order batsman who has led two different IPL teams, Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) into the IPL finals, In this mega Auction he was bagged by the Punjab Kings (PBKS)  and becomes the Second expensive player in the history of IPL. In addition to his excellent batting, Iyer is known for his sharp fielding, often excelling in the inner circle.

Venkatesh Iyer is a left-handed batsman and right-arm fast bowler well known for his all-rounder abilities, his consistent performance, and loyalty towards the franchise yielded the benefits of that by getting Rs 23.75 crore in this mega auction from the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). 

No. 4 | Arshdeep Singh | Rs 18 crore | Punjab Kings (PBKS)

Arshdeep Singh was the second-best bowler for India after Jasprit Bumrah in the T20 format. He was not retained by his previous team, Punjab Kings (PBKS), but in the auction, PBKS opted to execute their Right to Match (RTM) card to bag Arshdeep back to the team for Rs 18 crore. Interestingly.
