Virtus.pro Adds Perfecto to CS2 Team, Benches FL4MUS

Virtus.pro Adds Perfecto to CS2 Team, Benches FL4MUS

In a surprising mid-season roster adjustment, Virtus.pro has officially onboarded Ilya “Perfecto” Zalutskiy to their Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) lineup. Marking a significant shift after the team’s disappointing performance at the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. With this development, Timur “FL4MUS” Marev has been transferred to the bench and replaced by Perfecto. This change not only enhances Virtus.pro’s line-up with seasoned firepower but also brings in a skillful anchor that reunites Perfecto with ex-NAVI teammate Denis “electroNic” Sharipov.

The signing comes at a critical time when Virtus.pro is striving to reestablish itself among CS2’s top-tier teams. The organization aims to improve its performance and consistency in upcoming tournaments by harnessing a blend of experience from long-standing champions and emerging industry stars.

A Proven Champion Joins the Roster

Perfecto is regarded as one of the top CS:GO’s players. He is a Russian player who formerly played for NAVI, achieving multiple major titles, including the PGL Stockholm Major, IEM Cologne, and ESL Pro League Season 14. He was recently on Cloud9 before being released earlier this year. His signing is a bold move from Virtus.pro, and considering how deep in the season they are, it shows how determined they are to turn around their performance for the rest of 2025.

Perfecto reuniting with electroNic marks a significant turning event alongside IEM Cologne and the Esports World Cup. From 2020 to 2023, NAVI witnessed some powerful contention as these two legends formed one of the most reliable duos coming out of CS:GO, and their synergy, along with shared experience, makes Virtus.pro well-equipped for where esports is heading.

A New Chapter for Virtus.pro and FL4MUS

After signing with Perfecto, Virtus.pro has benched Timur “FL4MUS” Marev due to his inconsistent form in 2025. Due to FL4MUS’s poor performance, the team only managed a 6th-place finish at IEM Katowice. The team managed to progress to Stage 3 of the Austin Major but failed to qualify, which sparked some internal discussions regarding team direction as well as overall performance.

Virtus.pro’s management is confirming that transfer offers for FL4MUS are open. It looks like his GamerLegion days will come back to haunt him with how poorly he was treated off of North American teams. At this moment, it is undetermined whether FL4MUS’s new proposed changes will be accepted.
