The 34th match of the TATA IPL 2025 was held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday. Punjab Kings (PBKS) successfully defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) by 5 wickets.
The game was delayed due to rain and was shortened to 14 overs per side. PBKS won the toss and chose to bowl first. RCB’s batting lineup struggled early on and managed to post a total of 95/9, with a a crucial knock of 50 runs off 26 balls by Tim David. PBKS bowlers restricted RCB’s batters effectively by their spell where Arshdeep Singh, Marco Jansen, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Harpreet Brar each took two wickets.
In the second innings, RCB bowlers also done their job very well. Josh Hazlewood claimed 3 important wickets and controlled the run flow, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled an economical spell and picked up 2 wickets. However, Nehal Wadhera finished off the match with 11 balls to spare, leading PBKS to a 5-wicket victory.
