RR vs MI

On Thursday, the 50th match of the TATA IPL 2025 was held at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Mumbai Indians (MI) registered a massive 100-run win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) on their home ground.

At the beginning of the game, RR captain Riyan Parag won the toss and chose to bowl first. In the first innings, MI’s openers dominated the RR bowlers with a powerful batting performance. Ryan Rickelton scored 61 runs off 38 balls, while Rohit Sharma added 53 runs off 36 balls and laid a strong foundation for the innings. Later, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya finished the innings in style, both scoring an unbeaten 48 runs off 28 balls. MI set a target of 217 runs for RR to chase in the second innings.

Meanwhile, in the second innings, RR’s batsmen failed to build partnerships due to the regular fall of wickets. As a result, RR were all out in just 16.1 overs. The impressive bowling effort came from the MI bowlers, with Trent Boult and Karn Sharma each taking 3 wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah picked up 2 wickets in their Spell.

MI won the match by 100 runs and moved to the top of the points table with 14 points. RR, on the other hand, has been eliminated from the playoff race due to insufficient points for qualification.
