Toronto Ultra Extends AMD Partnership Ahead of CDL Championship Weekend

Toronto Ultra, Canada’s sole representative in the Call of Duty League (CDL), has renewed its partnership with AMD. The elevated collaboration with AMD is expected to benefit Ultra’s esports performance. This partnership will help with AMD’s high-performance Radeon graphics cards and Ryzen processors in preparation for the CDL Championship Weekend from June 26 to 29.
Therefore, OverActive Media supports the team in the league and is in partnership with AMD, illustrating the Ultra’s growth as a top-tier eSports contender.
AMD Continues To Be Important In Competitive Performance
Toronto Ultra’s reliance on high-end technology continues through its partnership with AMD. Players will continue to rely on AMD Radeon GPUs and Ryzen CPUs because the peripherals help with maintaining high FPS, low latency, and overall system performance consistency during online competitions.
This advantage is crucial in AMD-powered systems, where every microsecond can make the difference between winning and losing. According to Neil Duffy, Chief Commercial Officer of OverActive Media, “AMD has been an essential part of our team’s competitive edge,” referring to the AMD-powered systems used by Ultra.
AMD’s role extends beyond gameplay, symbolising a brand that understands and supports the esports ecosystem. The tech company joins Bell, Blacklyte, and SCUF in Ultra’s sponsor portfolio, cementing its position as one of the four major partners for the only CDL team based outside the United States.

A Strong Season and a Brighter Future
The year 2025 has been a standout year for Toronto Ultra. They secured 370 CDL points, which places them at a key spot in the upcoming Champs. Their consistent Tier One finishes during Major 2 and Major 3 also helped them earn $100,000 in prize money, adding to the franchise’s financial success.
Meanwhile, parent company OverActive Media saw its revenue surge from $15.7 million in 2023. In 2024, it was $27 million, and Q1 of 2025 is already showing a 37% increase in revenue year-over-year. It seems that the organisation is making the right strategic moves.
Ultra is now powered by strong beneficiaries like AMD, which builds on their previous achievements, and when combined with strong financial performance. Toronto Ultra arguably has the strongest foundation out of any franchise heading into the CDL Championship Weekend.
