BGIS 2024 Round 1: Format, Points, etc.

Krafton has released the Round 1 details for the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2024 Main Event. Multiple underdog squads and experienced squads will compete with each other over two months, in multiple qualification rounds. The prize pool is INR 2 crores. The first round of the main event is Round 1.
BGIS 2024 Round 1 Format detailed
The first round of BGIS2024 will take place from the 2nd to the 5th of May. The 1024 qualified teams from in-game qualifying will be split into 64 groups for Round 1. The top seven teams in each group, i.e. the 1024 teams that qualified from the games, will be advancing to round 2. In addition, 32 other teams based upon the standings of the resting teams qualify for the Round 2 as well. From Round 1, a total of 480 team will advance to Round 2.
The Points System
In the BGIS event 2024, a new point system will apply. The team that wins the Chicken Dinner will receive 10 points instead of 15 previously. This new system places a lot of importance on how each team finishes.
The BGIS Round 1 points system :
- 1st place: 10 points.
- 2nd place: 6 points.
- 3rd place: 5 points.
- 4th place: 4 points.
- 5th place: 3 points.
- 6th place: 2 points.
- 7th place: 1 point.
- 8th place: 1 point.
- 9th – 16th place: 0 points.
- 1 Finish: 1 point.
What is the location of BGIS The Grind Round 1?
The main round of the BGIS 2020 event will be streamed live on the official website Krafton India Youtube Channel From 2nd May at 3:30 pm in Hindi and English. Only a handful of group matches are streamed every day, and all other matches will take place offline.
In Round 1, we can expect to see seasoned squads and teams that were underdogs in BGIS The Grind but failed to get a spot directly in the Main Event.
