In the meanwhile, December’s five-match Twenty20 International series against Australia was the final appearance for veteran bowler Deepak Chahar, who has battled ailments throughout his career. In his four overs, he completed with stats of 2/44 during the fourth Twenty20 International in Raipur. He had a medical emergency and had to return home before their fifth encounter. The sickness of his father caused the right-arm pacer to miss the South Africa tour.
