IPL 2024, Hardik Pandya : Hardik Pandya’s transfer to the Mumbai Indians is making headlines prior of IPL 2024. After Hardik was acquired by the Mumbai Indians in a cash transaction, Rohit Sharma was replaced as captain. The unexpected departure of Hardik from Gujarat and his return to Mumbai in the IPL 2023 season was met with disbelief by many. However, a new rumour claims that Gujarat received an offer of Rs 100 crore from the Mumbai club in exchange for Hardik Pandya.

According to a “Indian Express” story, Hardik Pandya received a substantial payment from the Mumbai Indians—not Rs. 15 crore, but Rs. 100 crore—in order to earn his share. The deal of Hardik Pandya has been very beneficial to the Gujarat Titans.

Hardik Pandya made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2015, after which he remained a part of Mumbai till 2021. After this, Gujarat Titans made their share in the mega auction held in 2022 by giving a price of Rs 15 crore to Hardik. Gujarat handed over the team command to Hardik and Hardik, who made his debut through IPL 2022, became the champion under his captaincy. After this, in the next season (IPL 2023), Gujarat Titans under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya reached the final and remained runner-up.

However, several media rumours stating that Hardik Pandya will rejoin the Mumbai Indians materialised before to the IPL 2024 mini auction. After returning to the Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya was named captain in lieu of Rohit Sharma.

Hardik Pandya’s IPL Career –

Throughout his 123 IPL games thus far, Hardik Pandya has amassed 2309 runs at an average of 30.38 and a strike rate of 145.86 while batting in 115 innings. In this span, he amassed ten half-centuries. Aside from this, he averaged 33.26 while taking 53 wickets in 81 innings of bowling.
