Pakistan was knocked out for 172 runs in the first innings, having only amassed a 12-run advantage. Bangladesh, needing 185 runs to win, looked strong and reached 42/0 in seven overs, but rain and poor visibility made it impossible for the game to continue, saving the host team.
Day 5 will determine the outcome of the match, but will the rain in Rawalpindi once more play spoiler and save the home team?

Pakistan scored 274 in 85.1 overs in the first innings thanks to half-centuries from Salman Ali Agha (54), Shan Masood (57), and Saim Ayub (58). Mehidy Hasan Miran claimed five wickets for the visiting team in the meanwhile. Bangladesh responded by reaching 262 in 78.4 overs, led by a valiant century by Liton Das, who smashed 138 off 228 balls. Mehidy, meanwhile, hit 78 off 124 balls.
Khurram Shahzad took six wickets for Pakistan. Pakistan collapsed in the second innings despite Salman Ali Agha’s undefeated 47* runs off 71 balls. For Bangladesh, Hasan Mahmud claimed five wickets, while Nahid Rana claimed four.
