In 2024, China officially joined the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) with its own dedicated league. At the end of 2023, VALORANT developer Riot Games announced the 10 partner teams that would compete in the inaugural VCT China season alongside promoted team Dragon Ranger Gaming. Despite China being the last of the fourth major international leagues — joining the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific — the region has already made an impact on the international stage by claiming the VALORANT Champions 2024 trophy.

To find out more about China’s league ahead of the 2025 season, Gamesnfans has created a description of the 10 announced VCT China partner teams, as well as promoted teams Dragon Ranger Gaming and XLG Esports. Most of the partner organizations are well-known to Western viewers due to their connections within League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and other games, however, some are relatively unknown outside of China.

All Gamers

Although one of the lesser-known names in VCT China’s partner teams, All Gamers is a notable brand to CrossFire enthusiasts, especially in China. The organisation is one of the most successful CrossFire teams to date, winning the CrossFire Pro League more than 10 times and winning CrossFire Stars, the game’s World Championship, in 2021.

In the LPL, League of Legends’ Chinese franchise competition, All Gamers compete as Anyone’s Legend. The team is also one of the oldest organizations on this list, first established in 1999.

All Gamers’ VCT debut was a quiet endeavor with the organization finishing largely mid-table and failing to qualify for an international event.

Bilibili Gaming

Bilibili Gaming is a Chinese esports organization with video-sharing website Bilibili. The organization is best known for the League of Legends team. Bilibili Gaming’s League of Legends team has had a solid career in the LPL, with its best finish being third place in the 2023 LPL Summer Split.

In VALORANT, Bilibili Gaming VCT is a strong competitor in China, ranking second in both the first and second half of the 2024 season. The team’s consistent performance has made them one of the top teams in the region.

Edward Gaming (EDG)

Edward Gaming (EDG) is one of the most successful esports companies in China, with a rich history in League of Legends. The organization’s League of Legends team won the 2021 World Championship and cemented their position as one of the top teams in the world.

In VALORANT, EDG won both Stage 1 and Stage 2 during the 2024 VCT China. The team’s dominance in this area made them the team to beat in VCT China.

FunPlus Phoenix

FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) is a Chinese esports organization, known for winning esports titles such as League of Legends and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Organization’s League of Legends team won the 2019 World Championship.

The FPX VCT of VALORANT is a strong competitor in China, finishing third in the first and second half of the 2024 season. The team’s consistent performance has made them one of the top teams in the region.

JD Gaming 

JD Gaming is a Chinese e-sports organization owned by e-commerce giant JD.com. The organization is best known for the League of Legends team that competes in the LPL. JD Gaming’s League of Legends team was the best performer in the LPL, winning the 2020 and 2022 LPL Spring Split.

In VALORANT, JD Gaming VCT is a strong competitor in China, finishing fourth in the first and second half of the 2024 season. The team’s consistent performance has made them one of the top teams in the region.

LGD Gaming

LGD Gaming is a Chinese esports organization with a rich history in several esports titles, including Dota 2 and League of Legends. The organization’s Dota 2 team became one of the top teams in the world, placing second in The International 2018 and 2021 respectively.
