The whole Counter-Strike 2 roadmap till 2024 has been revealed by Indian esports organisation Skyesports. A total of $1,000,000 USD, or around ₹8,31,41,150 INR, in prize money is up for grabs over six events. Six worldwide competitions including both domestic and foreign Counter-Strike (CS2) players are scheduled to occur over local area network (LAN). Three of the competitions will be hosted in India, and the other three will be conducted abroad.
The organisers have chosen to move on with a more comprehensive Counter-Strike 2 competitive schedule for 2024, building on the success of Skyesports Masters 2023—India’s first-ever franchised esports league.
Skyesports CS2 roadmap 2024 –
Six worldwide IPs with a combined prize fund of $1 million will take place in 2024, according to Skyesports. Via LAN competitions that take place both domestically and abroad, matches between Indian and foreign teams will be included in all six IPs. Additionally, they want to bring back Skyesports Masters, their franchised esports league, for a 2024 edition. It is important for players to be aware that one of the competition’s sponsors was a gambling app that is prohibited.
The following are the dates for all six global IPs in the Skyesports CS2 Roadmap 2024, along with the prize money and INR conversion as of the time of writing –
- Skyesports Grand Slam India: March 14-18, $50,000 (approx INR 41 Lakhs)
- Skyesports 2024 Masters India: May 13-19, $350,000 (approx INR 2.9 Crore)
- Skyesports Championship 6.0 India: July 4-7, $150,000 (approx INR 1.2 Crore)
- Skyesports Souvenir (Colombo, Sri Lanka): September 13-15, $150,000 (approx INR 1.2 Crore)
- Skyesports Global Tour (Bangkok, Thailand): October 25-27, $250,000 (approx 2 Crore)
- Skyesports India Vs Pakistan Series (Abu Dhabi, UAE): December 20-22, $50,000 (approx INR 41 Lakhs)
The CEO and founder of Skyesports, Shiva Nandy, has the following to say about the new roadmap –
“Since the release of Counter-Strike 2 earlier this year, the game is getting more popular than ever, presenting us with exciting opportunities to invest in the space. Our 2024 roadmap has been planned with a focus on fostering talent, global expansion, and ensuring sustainability for participating teams. We have five global IPs planned, offering a total prize pool of $1 million, all happening in person. Notably, three of these tournaments will take place in India, showcasing global esports talent and introducing the electrifying world of Counter-Strike esports to a broader audience.”
