Phil Foden Thanks Pep Guardiola After Winning PFA Player of the Year Award

Following his team’s historic record-breaking fourth consecutive Premier League triumph. On the last day of the season, Pep Guardiola’s club defeated Arsenal to win the title. The 24-year-old scored 19 goals and provided eight assists. Foden thanked his colleagues for their appreciation, emphasizing the value of such acknowledgement.

Foden defeated Erling Haaland of City, the previous year’s winner, Rodri, Cole Palmer of Chelsea, Martin Odegaard of Arsenal, and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa. He also congratulated Erling Haaland, Rodrigo, and Kyle Walker, his colleagues who were elected to the PFA Team of the Year.

Cole Palmer, a 22-year-old winger for Chelsea who joined the London club after leaving City. Finished his debut season with 27 goals and 15 assists across all competitions. He earns him the title of Young Player of the Year. Khadija Shaw, a forward for Manchester City women’s club. She won the Women’s Player of the Year award after leading the WSL scoring charts with 21 goals in the previous campaign.
In their opening match, Manchester City defeated Chelsea to start their championship defense. Mateo Kovacic and Erling Haaland both scored as they easily defeated the Enzo Maresca squad 2-0.
