Teams qualified for the quarterfinals in BGIS 2023

Many seasoned teams found Round 3 of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 challenging as they faced elimination from the competition. In their confrontations with seasoned teams, underdog teams have displayed aggressive skill and won some incredible matches.

Teams like Team Soul, Gods Reign, Revenant Esports, and Team X Spark dominated BGIS 2023 Round 3 when it was over. On the other hand, other seasoned teams, like Team Godlike, Orangutan, and Global Esports, are probably out of the competition.

Round 3 Summary for BGIS

While other teams had to play their qualification matches offline, certain teams in Round 3 had to participate online. Groups 2 and 3 competed online on Days 1 and 2 of Round 3, and Groups 5 and 9 did the same on Days 3 and 4.

Teams like Team Godlike and Gods Reign, who were assigned to Group 2, dominated Day 1 of competition. However, Team Godlike was unable to maintain its momentum on Day 2, falling from second place on Day 1 to seventh place on Day 2, and was thereby eliminated from the competition. Future teams like Great Esports and 1M Officials shown aggressive gameplay to advance to the Quarterfinals. 

Day 1 and Day 2 both saw matches for Group 3. Over the course of both days, Team Insane dominated. The Hyderabad Hydras, the second-most experienced team in the group, struggled on Day 1 but made up for it on Day 2 by winning three matches and scoring a whopping 52 points to advance to the Quarterfinals. An underdog team, Brave Esports, won everyone over with their skill and qualified for the quarterfinals.

On Days 3 and 4 of the competition, teams including Team Soul, Revenant Esports, and Team X Spark played. Teams like Team Soul and Revenant Esports were in Group 5. On Days 3 and 4, both teams had consistent results in terms of finishes and placement points. Team Soul was positioned on top of the table, but it was missing its signature chicken feast. An underdog team from this group named Bloodrose Esports also shown talent and earned a berth in the Quarterfinals.

Teams with experience like Team X Spark and Numen Gaming were in Group 9. On both days, Team X Spark performed consistently and finished first in the points standings. Numen Gaming played a position-based game and routinely placed in the top 5 teams in the majority of its matches, despite not being able to get a chicken supper. LOC Esports is a young squad that was able to advance to the Quarterfinals with a strong combination of finish and placement points.

In round three, 256 teams were split into 16 groups of 16 teams each. The other 12 groups played their matches offline, while 4 groups played their matches online. These are the four teams that we are aware of who have advanced to the quarterfinals from the four groups. The remaining 12 groups’ qualifying teams have not yet been made public.

With consistent results, several of the more experienced teams have demonstrated their superiority in the competition. However, some of them have been eliminated because they were unable to adjust to the tactics of underdog teams. On September 21, the quarterfinals will begin. Fans are hopeful that the qualified, seasoned teams maintain their momentum and advance to the next round.
